Double Chocolate Fudge #ChocolateParty

011

This months #chocolateparty involves of all things fudge. I know, I know, it is usually enjoyed during Christmas. Why relegate these delectable morsels to just the holidays. They should be enjoyed all the time. My friend  Roxana over at Roxana’s Home Baking has a #chocolateparty every month. Now this is my excuse to make chocolate at least once a month. Not that I need an excuse to do that. The hubster and monkey girl are all in on this one. Especially since they are chocolate, chocolate 24/7. In fact they came up with a couple of ideas for my #chocolateparty post, but the fudge won out. Even though I made pounds and pounds of fudge during the holidays, when I made this the other day, it lasted maybe a day and a  half.

1 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

1 can sweetened condensed milk

Line a 9 inch square pan with foil extending over the sides to make handles. Set pan aside.

Melt both semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips with condensed milk over low heat in a medium size saucepan. When chocolate is melted, Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread evenly in foil lined pan and refrigerate.

Chill for about 4 hours or until firm. Remove from pan by using the foil handles and cut into squares.

You had me at double chocolate! I don’t know if I can sneak this recipe in the kitchen. We always have to make the “secret” family recipe from The Hubs family. I don’t know…..I think they would adore this!

Hey Veronica, that’s perfect looking fudge, so thick, dense and decadent. I love the addition of the walnuts for a contrast in texture and flavour.
