Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tarts
I don’t think there is a better way to start my first #SundaySupper at the new site, than with a virtual cocktail party. Who doesn’t love a good party? I certainly do, so if you are looking for some wonderful, unique concoctions in the way of libations and delectable bites, then boy is this the place for you.

This week on #SundaySupper, its all about the drinks and Appetizers. After all it is the season for it. This week’s event is hosted by Conni from The Foodie Army Wife. Boy do we have a line up this week. My contribution is this Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tart. It couldn’t be any easier.
Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tarts
Ingredients:
4 ounces Maple and Onion Jam (see previous post)
13 ounces puffed pastry
5 ounces goat cheese crumbled
2 tablespoons fresh thyme
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 F
Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Score 1/4 inch boarder around edge of puff pastry. Spread onion jam evenly on top of puff pastry. Bake in the oven 10-15 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown. Remove from the oven and add goat cheese and thyme. Cut into individual servings.
Serve hot.

Goat cheese pairs so well with caramelized onion. This would be such a perfect addition to my appetizer night for New Years Eve party.

I love goat cheese on anything. This looks delicious.

Mmm…this is delicious and simple (although I’d have to swap out the goat cheese with another kind – I find it too gamey for me). And your maple onion jam is amazing – I could probably just spoon it out of a jar. Happy holidays!

First, love the new look and your logo! Now for your tarts. I love caramelized onions and goat cheese, so to put them together in this recipe on top of puff pastry is my kind of appetizer!
