Steamed Shrimp
Here is another classic for you. This is another simple and easy recipe for Lent. All that is needed is a little side salad and some bread and you have a meal.
I used frozen shrimp and defrosted it in the refrigerator. I cant remember where I got the recipe from, but it is fantatic!

Steamed Shrimp
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon Old Bay Seafood Seasoning
1 lb shrimp
Directions:
Combine water, vinegar and Old Bay Seasoning in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil.Add shrimp, stir cover and steam until tender and pink, about 2 minutes. Drain remove shell and eat with seafood sauce or melted butter

I have know idea why I have a phobia about cooking seafood at home. I think it must be because mom never did growing up. (We raised beef, not shrimp or fish—that was the mantra.) These look soo good though and I love that sauce.

This sounds great! Especially with the fish sauce! I have a similar recipe for the shrimp but it just uses shrimp, beer & old bay! So delish! Great post!

For some reason my husband takes charge of cooking seafood in our house. I shall be leaving this recipe where he can easily find it as a very large hint to make this dish!
