Barbecue Pork Chops
I got this recipe from Paula Deen.
You know, the Lady and Sons.
I had planned on grilling pork chops.
Then we had a really bad storm.
I wasn’t going to stand out side during a lightning storm, no matter how much I love grilling.
So I cooked these in the oven.
They turned out quite well, and I got some work done while I waited for them to cook.
Barbecue-Style Pork Chops
Adapted from The Lady and Sons Cookbook
6 pork chops
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
One 14 1/2 ounce can whole tomatoes crushed
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown pork chops in oil. Drain, then place in a oven proof dish. I used my cast iron skillet. Combine remaining ingredients and spoon over chops.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Peace be with you,
Veronica
